Remote Sensing Laboratory and Research Group
Welcome to the Remote Sensing Laboratory and Research Group (RSLR) at the Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics of the Cyprus University of Technology.
RSLR's central research goal is to advance understanding of the Earth system sciences using Earth observation methods and engineering techniques. Our aim is to both promote applied and pure research in the area of remote sensing.
We support complete observing system approaches with our well-qualified scientists and modern infrastructure.
The Research Group is also based in the Department of Civil Engineering & Geomatics but with members and a team of researchers distributed in areas of Remote Sensing, GIS, Geoinformatics, Civil Engineering, Meteorology, Atmospheric sciences, environmental sciences, geology etc.
The mission of the group is to conduct both basic and applied research towards improved understanding, management, and monitoring of natural resources and infrastructures and to offer expert services & products of excellent qualities in line with the latest development remote sensing and related geospatial technologies or other high-tech tools.
The Group is the biggest research group at the Cyprus University of Technology!
