Manuscript guidelines

  1. Prepare your paper according to the SPIE manuscript specifications. Download here the word template for paper preparation.
  2. Submit your paper via submission link:  http://spie.org/RSCY13
  3. A statement of transfer of copyright should be signed by at least one author of the manuscript and returned to SPIE. The form may be downloaded at http://spie.org/x14109.xml. Authors may submit the completed form to http://spie.org 
  4. The Proceedings of this  RSCY 2013 conference (one paper per author)  are published in the SPIE Digital Library along with over 370,000 papers from other outstanding conferences and SPIE Journals.

Poster guidelines

At the joint event, emphasis will be given to the poster exhibition, with direct interaction between authors and audience. The usable space on the poster boards is 120 cm in height, 90 cm in width (A0 Format). The poster can be portrait or landscape.The boards will be illuminated sufficiently by the room light. Tapes and tags for fixing your poster onto the boards will be provided. A sheet containing the number and title of your short paper will be mounted in front of your poster board. Please prepare your poster carefully and completely in advance of the joint event.

Posters should be placed to the boards latest on Monday 08.04.2013 by 09:30 a.m and will be displayed during the conference

Please don’t forget to remove your poster at the end of the conference. The organising committee will NOT take the responsibility of removing and keeping your poster after the end of the event.

Best Poster Award:

The purpose of the Best Poster Award is to encourage scientists to display outstanding posters during the RSCy2013 conference.

Eligibility: All presenters of posters during the conference.

Criteria:

  1. Presentation: layout (attractiveness, legibility, creativity)
  2. Level of completion of the work and its impact/added value
  3. Content: novelty of the work, innovative ideas and value of subject matter
  4. Presenter’s ability to convey the message

Presentation: The award will be presented at the Conference dinner.

Prize: The Awards consist of a certificate and an award gift

Journal publications

Selected papers will be published in special issues in several related journals which will be announced shortly.

1. Journal of Applied Remote Sensing (JARS)

The Journal of Applied Remote Sensing (JARS) published by SPIE, welcome submission of expanded manuscripts of papers presented at JARS is a continuously-published online journal covering the concepts, information, and progress of the remote sensing community. See detailed information for authors

2. Central European Journal of Geosciences (CEJG)

Advances of Remote Sensing and Geoinformation of Environment” – topical issue

All participants of the First International Conference on Remote Sensing and Geoinformation of Environment are invited to submit their papers to Central European Journal of Geosciences (CEJG).

The Topical issue titled “Advances of Remote Sensing and Geoinformation of Environment” will be published in August 2013.

The fourteen best manuscripts selected from the conference sessions (which fit into the subject of the topical issue) should be submitted till 2nd of May 2013

Contributions are expected to be submitted as full length articles.

Abstract submission

Contributions will be presented orally and by poster. Both are considered of equal standing. When submitting your contribution to RSCy Conference you are kindly requested to notify your preference (oral/poster).
